While working in the UK, John was often asked to explore design concepts, that encouraged integration of contemporary work into the historic fabric.

This cottage was former home to a club frequented by Sir Walter Scott. A respectful office addition was added to the historic building by respecting the scale of the exisitng building, while being conscious of not mimicking the older construction.
